In order to communicate with this NETePay your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

Datacap’s out-of-scope ActiveX control for Canadian EMV transactions.

  • Support has been added for the PAX A920PRO PIN pad. We have recently completed an EMV certification with Global Payments Canada. The <PadType> value for the PAX A920PRO is "A920ProGlobalDatacapE2E". Payment processing is supported only via Hosted where the backend is Global Portico for Canada. The A920PRO must be loaded with the latest PxRetailer application and the "Datacap2Can" forms package. The device must also be injected with a PAN encryption key for the Hosted platform. There is only one EMV configuration supported for Canada. EMV contact is supported for Interac Debit and all major credit card brands. All CVM’s are supported except Online PIN. For this reason, no PIN key is required. EMV contactless is supported for Interac Debit and all major credit card brands except JCB. The contactless transaction limit and CVM limit is $250 for all cards except Union Pay. The Union Pay limit is $100. None of the EMV settings can be modified by an ISV or merchant.
  • The PayAPI_Id is returned in the <PayAPI_Id> tag for all payment responses. There are no other integration changes as compared to the previous version of DSIEMVClientX which supports the Verifone P400 for Global Payments.

This NETePay is available via the NETePay 5 Director which provides a simplified installation process and go-forward automatic software updates. NETePay 5 Director is recommended but if needed the classic installation process is still available by clicking Download as usual.
