Step 1 - Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this GIFTePay your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

  • For PAX insertion reader devices (A60, Aries6, Aries8), using PxRetailer 2.00.47 and above, turns off MSR "inserted" and "removed" statuses allowing for a much more reliable magstripe read. PAX provided a new system variable – PXR.MSRHYBIRD, allowing these statuses to be turned off.
  • For the latest PAX forms package, the STR.AMOUNT_TEXT variable is cleared when displaying the “swipe screen”.
  • If an ISV performs a SecureDevice Init for the IDTech VP3300, then the whitelist BIN range 100000-199999 is loaded.

This NETePay is available via the NETePay 5 Director which provides a simplified installation process and go-forward automatic software updates. NETePay 5 Director is recommended but if needed the classic installation process is still available by clicking Download as usual.

This GIFTePay supports standard PrePaid transactions and Loyalty points transactions. It uses the Datacap Gift messaging to EVO. The hardcoded production URL is “giftapi.evopayments.us”. The cert URL used in the developer copy of the .exe is “giftapi-cert.evopayments.us”.

The Datacap Gift messaging requires a Terminal ID to be entered when building a stage file. Any value may be used for the Terminal ID. The Host Username field may be left blank. The Host Password must be supplied. This field identifies the merchant to EVO for gift card processing.
