Step 3 - Install NETePay Elavon Term - NVT 5.07.20

This NETePay is available via the NETePay 5 Director which provides a simplified installation process and go-forward automatic software updates. NETePay 5 Director is recommended but if needed the classic installation process is still available by clicking Download as usual.

The batch database is now implemented via SQLite rather than Microsoft SQL Express. This version of NETePay does not require installation of SQL Express. SQLite is built-in, so there is no need to install a database prior to installing NETePay. The database can be found as a file in “Boot Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Datacap Systems\NETePay\DATACAP_DB”. The database file is usable ONLY on the machine where the transaction records are created. You cannot copy a database file to a different machine to settle a batch. The Database Manager used for SQL Express is no longer included with the product.

A new version the ePay Administrator is required for this version. ePayAdmin version 5.00 is required for interacting with the SQLite database. It has the same functionality as the previous version for SQL Express. The ePay Administrator User Guide is updated to reflect changes in selecting the database file.

This version of NETePay can be loaded and run under the new NETePay 5 Director. This will allow for easy updates and upgrades in the future. The local batch should always be settled before attempting to load a new version. When running NETePay in the traditional way, the path to the running NETePay does not change. The path to the DATACAP_LOGS and DATACAP_DB folders does not change. When running under the Director, the path to the running NETePay, the DATACAP_LOGS and DATACAP_DB folders are changed to “Boot Drive\Program Files (x86)\Datacap Systems\NETePay\DIRECTOR\Applications\a”.
