Step 1 - Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

  • A new TranCode is supported called “GetAnswer” to allow an ISV to ask a question on an Ingenico device. The ISV supplies the <TranCode> tag with a value of “GetAnswer”, a <Question> tag with the question to be displayed on the device, and optionally a <QuestionTimeout> tag with a value from 10 to 120 (seconds). The default timeout value is 30 seconds and the two buttons default to “Yes” and “No”. The ISV can override the "Yes"/"No" on the buttons by supplying the <AnswerYes> tag with a new value and the <AnswerNo> tag with a new value. The following is example XML that will wait 15 seconds for a reply and display "12-OZ" and "16-OZ" on the buttons. If the "Yes" button is pressed, the response includes a <CmdStatus> tag with a value of "Success". If the "No" or "Cancel" button is pressed, the response includes a <CmdStatus> tag with a value of "Error".

  • For Ingenico devices, Discover MSD contactless is now disabled. Soon we will be doing the same for Amex and then all four brands will have MSD contactless disabled.

Step 2 - Install NETePay Vantiv (Fifth Third) Host EMV - FTH 5.06.11

  • A new "EMV Cardholder Verification" parameter is added to this NETePay where the choices are "All CVMs", "Signature" or "None". "All CVMs" is the default on PSCS and includes Online PIN, Offline PIN, Signature and No CVM. This setting in NETePay determines the "EMV Terminal Capabilities" setting stored in the PIN pad during an EMV Param Download operation. If this parameter is changed in NETePay, then an EMV Param Download should be run at each workstation where a PIN pad is attached.
  • Support for Smart Updates which allows NETePay to be automatically updated to its versions most currently build.
  • Support for being run as a service. Please review this NETePay's userguide for details on configuring this feature.
  • Change made to "POS entry capability code" used on EMVReturn transactions to correct an issue which resulted in "SYSTEM ERROR - CALL 239" response from Vantiv.
