Step 1 - Install Database

For versions of NETePay that require database services for local data storage it is necessary to install one of the following based on your POS server's OS.

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft SQL Express 2008 R2 to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows 7, 8, and 10

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft SQL Express 2005 to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows Vista Business Edition or Windows Server 2008.

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE) to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows 2000 or XP. (If a version of SQL was previously installed on the PC, a matching or newer version should be installed)

Step 2 - Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

  • The PIN entry command is fixed for EBT transactions using Ingenico Voltage PAN encryption.
  • For Ingenico Onguard PAN encryption, the parsing of clear card data has been modified. Clear card data is returned by the device configured for OnGuard PAN encryption if the card account number matches the current whitelist.
