Step 1 - Install Database

For versions of NETePay that require database services for local data storage it is necessary to install one of the following based on your POS server's OS.

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft SQL Express 2008 R2 to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows 7, 8, and 10

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft SQL Express 2005 to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows Vista Business Edition or Windows Server 2008.

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE) to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows 2000 or XP. (If a version of SQL was previously installed on the PC, a matching or newer version should be installed)

Step 2 - Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

Step 3 - Install NETePay Moneris Canadian Host EMV - MSH 5.03

Enhanced to include a setting for the TCP/IP port on which it listens for incoming requests. The default setting is port 9000. This setting can be changed to port 9050 allowing it to run on the same PC as a non-EMV NETePay which listens for incoming requests on TCP/IP port 9000. Version 5.03 installs to folder "Program Files\Datacap Systems\NETePayEMV" to keep its logs and supporting files segregated from a non-EMV NETePay installed to folder "Program Files\Datacap Systems\NETePay".
